As I stated before I work at pathmark and due to pathmark budget cut my store is closing. AS a worker I am not upset because I have two options. One I can be transfer to another pathmark, or two I can collect unemployment. I feel bad because I work in a neighborhood where the consumers don't have any other supermarkets, and the other supermarkets are not close by. They have mini markets such as key food or fine fare who don't not have or carry the same items. The are also more expensive then patmark. So as a customer Rep I have to inform the costomers where the next pathmark are located. The first one is on 148 st in Harlem, and the second one is in Brooklyn. When I tell that to the customer they look at me as if they want to cry because the pathmark where they shop is located in the lower east side and I am tell them to go uptown or to Brooklyn for their groceries. Some customers tell me stories about when the store first open, and all I can say is sorry that decision is out of my control.
