Families left without light BUT not the Statue of Liberty

Its amazing how new yorkers don't have light but yet the statue of liberty does. I just wonder why its so important that the statue of liberty has lights? Well I came to my own theory. Which is that leaders of New York is just money hungry.This is because they dont care about the people who pay taxes but to those who come to New york to see lady liberty. I just feel that the leaders of New York just need to get a move on it and help New york because its our tax money who keep lady liberty clean and in shape.

I feel they needed 2 keep tha statue lit because for some ppl it would give them hope and so tha airplanes could see where there going

well maybe it was just that statue isnt on the same power line as the homes and buisness that went with out light a lot of people blame the goverment for what happen but it really wasnt they fault and wasnt like they wasnt trying to fix it people need to understand nature disaters is not something u can fix right away iam just happy cause i was one of them families with out and i thank god thats all that happen cause it could have been worse

I believe that the leaders of New York are slowly trying to bring New York back to the resilient city that it is, everything takes time, well if you want it done right. The statue of liberty could be viewed as a symbol of hope, showing people that one day they can go back to there normal life, by having the freedom to travel as they please, have the choice of turning on and off their own lights and have the ability to prepare there own meals. The city needs to help bring there residents back to life.
