Today in my Psychology of Advertising and Marketing Communications-“Consumer Behavior” We were discussing superstition.
So superstition that my family have are If you open an umbrella you will have bad luck.
Another one is that if right hand itch you are going to receive money soon
Another one is that if a mirror drop in break you are going to have bad luck for seven years.
Another one is that if a bird shit on you and you don't get mad you will have good luck.
Another one is that if a black cat cross you will have bad luck.
Another one is if you come in the new year without money you will be broke for the next year.
Superstition is all on what you believe in or what your family brought you up on because all though my family have all these superstition plus more I person don't believe them I believe you are your own path and what ever you believe in is what going to happen.

I have one too. My family believe that if you have an encounter with a ghost, you must not slap it with your right hand, you must slap it with your left in order to prevent it from attacking you and ensuring that it flees in fear of you. Also they believe that money is the root of all evil and that if a couple is walking and they approach a pole or a tree, they must not let the pole or tree past between for this will bring bad luck to the relationship.

As the saying goes, believe kills and believe cures. for me superstition is a cultured thing; how deeply embedded your culture is to being superstitious. however, every culture has some level of superstition, but in the end, its the rationality of how we as people see things.
